Peter Piper Pizza Donates Dictionaries to United ISD Third Graders

(Laredo, Texas)-Students at Newman Elementary were in for a real treat this morning when Peter Piper Pizza arrived not only with dictionaries, but also with pizza to share. Peter Piper Pizza has donated over 70,000 dictionaries to over 600 schools in 30 school districts throughout Texas as part of their Partner in Education Program
“We are very thankful to Peter Piper Pizza for their generous contribution and for thinking about our students” said United ISD Superintendent Roberto J. Santos. “They are a great example of the business sector helping to support our students.”
Peter Piper Pizza is a strong supporter of education in the communities in which their restaurants operate for over thirty years. Through the company’s Partner in Education Program, Peter Piper Pizza provides United ISD with various incentives and rewards, donations, and fundraising opportunities.
This is the third year Peter Piper Pizza has donated dictionaries to the children of United ISD. Third grade students from each of the District’s 29 elementary campuses will benefit for the donation. Peter Piper Pizza has three locations in Laredo. The dictionaries will be used to assist students with their STAAR Exams.
