UISD and Powell Watson Motors Group Announce 3rd Annual Golf Fundraiser

(Laredo, Texas)-UISD and the Powell Watson Auto Group held a press conference at Toyota of Laredo on Bob Bullock Loop to announce the 3rd annualGolf Tournament FORE Our Students. Powell Watson is the official title sponsor for the tournament and presented a check for $15,000 during the press conference to get this year’s fundraiser started.
This year’s tournament will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Max A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course located at 27700 Mines Road (FM1472). Tee-off is set for 8:30 a.m., and 1st , 2nd and 3rd place trophies will be awarded. Final results will be announced at the conclusion of the event. All proceeds will be applied to scholarships for college bound UISD graduates. In addition to the donation, Powell-Watson will also provide two hole-in-one opportunities for golfers to win a brand new automobile.
“We thank the Powell Watson group for their continued support of our students and teachers, and look forward to another successful collaboration”, said UISD Superintendent Roberto J. Santos. The event, coordinated through the UISD Athletics Department, is a three man scramble (adult), tournament. Additional sponsors will provide door prizes for the event.
