(Laredo, Texas)-The Chick-Fil-A Marketplace located at Bob Bullock Loop and Clark Blvd. gave UISD’s Back to School Clothing Drive a generous boost.
The drive, which ran from July 18 to August 2, collected over 1800 pieces of new and gently used clothing in the restaurant’s drop off box. In exchange, Chick-Fil-A gave customers complementary sandwiches for each item of clothing. Owner/Operator Marty Speer said that the Chick-Fil-A company has a long-standing tradition of serving the communities they call home.
“We are a civic minded business, and we appreciate the opportunity to help our local kids. It’s important for them to be comfortable, confident and ready for their first day of school”, said Speer.
