TxDot Traffic Alert for Wednesday July 26th

LAREDO, TX – Beginning on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 during daytime hours for four months approximately, Foremost Paving, Inc. will establish a one way traffic control traffic pattern on State Highway (SH) 44 at Los Olmos Creek in order to facilitate the continued (phase II) widening of the bridge and road. Los Olmos Creek Bridge is located approximately two miles east of IH 35 (Encinal).
Traffic control will be assisted by temporary traffic signals on both ends of the Los Olmos Bridge. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be shifted south onto the newly constructed widening and detour area.
Motorists should prepare to slow down, stop, merge to open lanes and anticipate travel delays.
The traveling public should also observe all safety signs and traffic control devices in the work zone while looking out for the safety of the construction crews.
