CBP Laredo Field Office Business Resumption Update

(Laredo, Texas)-CBP Laredo Port of Entry announces current hours of operation and modes of commercial traffic processed by CBP for July 13-July 20.

World Trade Bridge
Imports (Mexico to the U.S.A.)

· 7 a.m. to midnight or beyond until last queued truck processed.
· Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or beyond until last queued truck processed.
· Sunday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or beyond until last queued truck processed.
CBP will process the following modes of commercial traffic:
· Empties (tractors and trailers) and including automotive racks in empty trailers which are considered items of international commerce
· FAST certified companies
· Informal Entries
· Agriculture (perishables)
· Automotive products
· FDA-regulated products: FDA will monitor these shipments electronically and place holds as deemed necessary to coordinate further inspection
· Machinery
Electronics

Exports (U.S.A. to Mexico)

· 7 a.m. to midnight or beyond until last queued truck processed.
· Saturday: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or beyond until last queued truck processed.
· Sunday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or beyond until last queued truck processed.
All modes of commercial traffic processed.

Progress continues on the establishment of temporary office facilities in modular buildings at World Trade Bridge. A contract for the refurbishment of WTB permanent facilities was awarded on June 30. Project completion and return to full operations at the refurbished permanent facility is anticipated in October 2017.

FDA personnel will work alongside CBP officers and import specialists when these modular buildings come online.
FDA will staff the space provided by CBP on their modular buildings once ready to be occupied in order to provide FDA import coverage at WTB until FDA gets its own modular building.
The FDA modular building was delivered on July 6 and it is anticipated that it will become operational on July 17.

FDA is still operating under the business resumption plan; there is FDA staff in Colombia POE conducting import lot dock inspections. FDA staff located at Juarez Lincoln Bridge II office are conducting field exams at warehouses.

Colombia Solidarity Bridge Import Lot

· Monday thru Friday 8:00a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
· Saturdays and Holidays 8:00a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Juarez Lincoln Bridge II
· Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

CBP would like to stress that only the commodities identified above are able to use World Trade Bridge at this time. CBP will return trucks that aren’t carrying these afore-listed commodities to Mexico and direct them to the Colombia Bridge.

Colombia
Imports (Mexico to the U.S.A.)
· 7 a.m. to midnight or beyond until last queued truck is processed.
· Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or beyond until last queued truck processed.
· Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or beyond until last queued truck processed.
All modes of commercial traffic processed.

Exports (U.S.A. to Mexico)
· 7 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (or beyond until last queued truck processed.
· Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or beyond until last queued truck processed.
· Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or beyond until last queued truck processed.
Since Monday, June 12th Exports to Mexico have resumed normal operating hours: 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
All modes of commercial traffic processed.

All of the aforementioned information has been confirmed and is done in coordination with Servicio de Administración Tributaria, Aduana de Nuevo Laredo.

CBP strongly encourages the international trade community to maximize use of early morning hours, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., since during these hours we have minimal traffic.
