Two New Scholarship Signings Make United High School Proud!

(Laredo, Texas)-United high school was ground zero for two scholarship signings on April 18, 2017. Graduating senior Alexia Nava accepted a cross country scholarship from the University of Texas Permian Basin. She was accompanied by her proud parents Ms. Angelica Nava and Mr. Jose Nava. In addition to participating in cross country at the collegiate level, Alexia also plans to major in kinesiology. ” I want to thank my parents for their love and support. I also wish to thank coach Eduardo Gonzalez for always encouraging me to work hard and go the distance” said Nava.
United senior Erika Lozano signed to play volleyball at Laredo Community College (LCC), and plans to enroll in the school’s nursing program. Ms. Lozano was accompanied by her parents, Ms. Susan Lozano and Mr. Fernando Lozano. Lozano expressed gratitude to her parents for supporting her in all of her academic and sports endeavors. She also thanked her coach Leti Longoria and assistant coaches Miriam Garcia, Debbie Martinez and Ashley Everett.
