(Laredo, Texas)-Clark elementary school observed National Library Week (April 9-15), with a visit from children’s author Claudia Villarreal. Ms. Villarreal spoke to Pre-k – 5th grade students about the importance of developing good reading and writing skills.
She also read excerpts from her book The Alphabet Thief Who Stole the Vowels. National Library Week reminds all Americans that libraries are places of creativity, learning and growing. Libraries also offer access to the tools, technology and training essential to the economic and cultural lives of their communities.
