Lyndon B. Johnson Teacher Wins Humanities Award

(Laredo, Texas)-On February 21, 2017, Ana Cristina Martinez, a Spanish teacher from Lyndon B. Johnson High School, was presented with the 2016 James F. Veninga, Outstanding Teaching of the Humanities Award. During a ceremony held at Lyndon B. Johnson High School, early college students, administration, and LBJHS alumni gathered to honor and congratulate her for this prestigious award. She was nominated by Yesenia Sandoval, Dean of Early College at LBJHS, and was selected from over 700 nominees from throughout the state of Texas.
