Lamar Bruni Vergara Middle School Makes Donation to Share A Bear Community Effort

(Laredo, Texas)-The staff and students at Lamar Bruni Vergara Middle School collected 150 plush teddy bears and raised $1000.00 to purchase additional toy bears for this year’s Share A Bear drive. The donations were given to the Webb County Sheriff’s Department, which will distribute some of the bears to fellow law enforcement agencies. Officers give the bears to young children who have suffered a traumatic event related to crime or a natural disaster.
