Right fielder Josh Romanski singled home LF Willie Cabrera in the fifth inning to give Winnipeg a 5-1 lead and that proved to be the difference in the game as the Goldeyes held off Wichita, 5-4. The victory by Winnipeg sets the stage for a winner-take-all game five tomorrow night for the American Association championship. Romanski went 3-for-4 with a run scored while Cabrera drew a pair of walks and scored two runs in a 1-for-3 night. Goldeyes CF Reggie Abercrombie and SSMaikol Gonzalez each chipped in with a home run. Winnipeg starting pitcher Edwin Carl tossed five solid innings and earned his third win of the postseason. Carl allowed two earned runs on five hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. Game five of the championship series is scheduled to begin in Wichita at 7:00 PM.
