DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Kansas City T-Bones RHP Josh Hodges has been named this week’s Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week for the week ending July 17.
Hodges made two starts in the past week, and picked up a win and a no-decision as the T-Bones won both contests. On Tuesday, he tossed six innings against the Laredo Lemurs, allowing one run on seven hits, walking two and striking out a pair. Kansas City went on to win 5-4. The New Albany, Miss. native returned to the hill on Saturday to face the Joplin Blasters. He threw seven innings, allowing just one run once again on four hits, one walk and five strikeouts. Hodges became the winning pitcher as Kansas City took an 11-1 victory.
On the season, Hodges has appeared with both the T-Bones and Blasters.
He is a combined 3-4 with a 4.53 ERA in 12 games, 10 of them starts. In 59.2 innings, Hodges has struck out 28 batters.
