Wolf Pack Receives Scholarships to Sul Ross University

(Laredo, Texas)-Five Lyndon B. Johnson High School students will represent Laredo, Texas and their alma mater at Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas to play Division 3 tennis. The student athletes signed letters of intent at a ceremony held at L.B.J.H.S. along side their teammates, peers, coach, and families. The honorees are as follows: Daisy Martnez, who will pursue a degree in Biology; Mirna Escalera, who will pursue a degree in Computer Science; Javier Salas, who will pursue a degree in Biology; Antonio Reyes, who will pursue a degree in Kinesiology; and Israel Dominguez, who will pursue a degree in Business. Head Varsity Tennis Coach, Joe Flores, mentioned, “The trend is having one student get offered a scholarship to a university. But today, we have five students going to a university,” he continues, “We are sending a Wolf Pack!”
