Tri-county pavement overlay project begins May 2

Alt. lane closures & 1 way traffic control in effect – Go slow, drive with caution

LAREDO, Tx – On Monday, May 2, 2016, Anderson Columbia, Inc. will perform nighttime (9 p.m. and 7 a.m.) pavement overlay work on BU 277 from US 57/US 277 intersection to N. Ceylon St. in Eagle Pass/Maverick County followed by other locations in Webb and La Salle counties. Project updates will follow. Duration of work for total overlay work is two months. Cost of this project is $2,369,197.87. (CSJ: 0018-02-068)

Motorists can expect alternate lane closures and one-way traffic control traffic patterns throughout the pavement overly work.

Future locations will include IH 35 in La Salle Co. between 6.52 miles south of FM 133 to 2.6 miles south of FM 133, and US 83 S. southbound lanes between Palo Blanco St. and Cielito Lindo Blvd.

The traveling public is urged to slow down, drive with extreme caution, and obey all safety signs and traffic control devices in the work zone while looking out for the safety of construction workers.
