TAMIU ‘Collected’ Exhibit Featuring Shayne Murphy, Continues

(Laredo, Texas)An art exhibit entitled “Collected,” featuring artist Shayne Murphy’s work at the Texas A&M International University Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Gallery continues through April 7.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
Born in Houston, Murphy received his Master of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas. He was artist in residence at the Lawndale Art Center in Houston from 2013-2014.
His past solo exhibitions include “Fever Dreaming” at the 500X Gallery and “Transient Space” in Dallas.
A “Best in Show” Award Winner of the University Union’s 35th Annual Art Competition in 2011 and the Mannings Purchase Award from the Beaumont Art League in 2004, Murphy’s work has been featured in publications including New American Paintings, Luxe Magazine, North Texas Review and Visual Culture.
