Organizers Announce 5th Annual Border Beer Fest

LAREDO, TX – Organizers are pleased to announce Laredo’s 5th Annual Border Beer Fest set for Saturday, March 19, 2016. Touted as the “BIGGEST beer festival in South Texas”, Border Beer Fest showcases the tastiest craft beer selections in the world. Tickets go on sale Friday, February 5 at 10:00 a.m.
In addition to being a part of the Border Beer Week calendar of events, this year’s Border Beer Fest enhances the beer tasting experience with several new activities that include prize giveaways, People’s Choice awards, Beerlympics, Cooking Sessions, History of Beer, Home Brewing 101 where attendees get a chance to learn how to make beer at home as well as a chance to meet brewers from some of the biggest beer manufactures in the world.
Dance the night away to music from the Jolly Ranchers while getting a chance to try some of the delicious beer food from Laredo’s best eateries.

“We are extremely proud to host the 5th Annual Border Beer Fest at the Laredo Energy Arena. The festival has been a huge success and continues to attract thousands from Laredo and surrounding areas looking for the ultimate beer experience,” said founder and organizer, David Vasquez. “We invite Laredo to come out and expand their beer palettes and choose from over 100 different styles of beer.”
The event will be held at the Laredo Energy Arena located at 6700 Arena Blvd. in Laredo, Texas Saturday, March 19th from 7p.m. to 12a.m. Tickets will cost $25 to sample beer while designated drivers enjoy a $15 cover that gives them all the benefits of the Border Beer Fest without being able to drink alcohol. Only people 21 years of age or older will be able to enter the Border Beer Fest.
In addition, with Border Beer Fest’s commitment to safety, it has partnered again with the Webb County Better Community Foundation to provide free taxi cab service for those who may need transportation after the event.
Border Beer Fest was established in August 2012 and more recently has grown into a week-long set of events known as Border Beer Week which features a mountain bike race, beer dinner, 5K fun run, beer conference as well as the Border Beer Fest.
The 5th Annual Border Beer Fest is sponsored by L&F Distributors, the Laredo Energy Arena and Family Chevrolet. Portions of this year’s proceeds will benefit the Diginomics Association of South Texas and South Texas Academic Rising Scholars.
