Laredo, TX (Webb County) – A National Rifle Association (NRA) grant has allowed the Webb County Sheriff’s Office to purchase new equipment.
A total of nine handguns and duty ammunition were obtained through a $7,267.50 law enforcement grant, which will aid in the Webb County Sheriff’s Office efforts to continuously equip its sworn officers with an important array of duty gear and other critical safety equipment. A group of W.C.S.O. Deputies will be receiving the new gear.
“It’s crucial to ensure we are up to date and well equipped while safeguarding our community,” said Sheriff Martin Cuellar. “We are always looking for ways to purchase equipment through grant-funded opportunities.”
The W.C.S.O. thanks the local and national NRA committee for the grant as the foundation provides funding to eligible law enforcement agencies.
