Back On a Victorious Road

LAREDO, TEXAS – After their first loss against the Texas Fuel on Sun., Jan 17, the Laredo Swarm are back on the road to victory with a win over the Texas Sky Riders in today’s tight game (102-100).
“All game long they played really tough and they shot the ball really well. We had to get consecutive stops,” Laredo Swarm Point Guard #5 Johnel Gray said. “Towards the end of the game, we put those stops together by focusing more on defensing in those stops.”
The Texas Sky Riders were in the lead throughout the game, and by the third quarter with two and a half minutes left, the Laredo Swarm were down by 18 points (59-77).
In the fourth quarter with nine minutes left on the clock, Laredo Swarm caught up and tied (80-80). On the fifth minute mark, Laredo Swarm were back on top (88-85). With less than two minutes, both teams tied again (98-98). In less than a minute, Laredo Swarm surpassed the Texas Sky Riders with a final score of 102-100.
“We love the fans! We would like to see more of you at our games,” said Gray. “We really appreciate you, Laredo!”
The Laredo Swarm is still ranked first in the South West region, 10-1.
