Laredo Swarm Home Debut Victory

LAREDO, TEXAS – The Laredo Swarm stung their way to victory against the Texas Red Wolves on Sun., Dec. 13 at the Laredo Energy Arena. Laredo Swarm is undefeated as they start off the season 3-0.
“We are excited to see the community has embraced the Laredo Swarm basketball team,” said Xavier Villalon, General Manager of the SMG – Managed Laredo Energy Arena.
Laredo Swarm were in the lead by half time (58-54) and triumphed at the end of the game (123-104).
Spencer J. Conley, a professional keynote speaker and former NFL athlete, presented the retirement of Deondre Logan’s jersey, who was recently diagnosed with bone cancer, during halftime. Two local dance studios and a middle school dance team also performed during halftime.
City of Laredo Mayor Pete Saenz started the game with the tip-off. After the game, fans had the opportunity to meet and greet the Laredo Swarm players.
“We invite the public to come and enjoy two more games for the month of December,” Villalon said. “We look forward to a successful winning season.”
