UISD To Dismiss Several Schools Due To Water Pressure Issue

(Laredo, Texas)-Due to water pressure issues at Killam, Zaffirini, Newman, Bonnie Garcia Elementary Schools and Gonzalez Middle School, students will be dismissed from school for the rest of today. Faculty and staff are currently contacting parents to notify them of this news.
Please note, students who are bused to these campuses will be taken to their home provided a parent or guardian is there to receive the student. Parents who drop off their children will have to make arrangements to pick up their child.
The water pressure issues only affects students of the schools listed below and no other UISD campus.
The United Independent School District appreciates the support of each school’s parents and students. The water pressure is being worked on at the moment. The media will be notified once this issue is addressed.
