(Laredo, Texas)-The Outstanding 8th Grader of The Month Program Recipients for the month of October are the following: (left to right) Erick Morales-Los Obispos Middle School, Rebecca De La Pena-Lamar Bruni Vergara Middle School, Mia Fuentes-United Middle School, Kristina Trevino-United South Middle School, Karina Galbreath-George Washington Middle School, Chole Cortez-Clark Middle School, Graciela Escamilla-Antonio Gonzalez Middle School, Sergio Mora-Salvador Garcia Middle School, Scarlett Garcia-Trautmann Middle School, Judith Garcia- Director, Instructional Technology (UISD)
Nine Exemplary United I.S.D. middle school students were recognized during the October 2015 Outstanding 8th Graders of the Month ceremony. The top-performing students were honored for their academic excellence, participating in projects that benefit the community and serving as good role models.
St. Peters Memorial School at Salon Chapa Reception Hall hosted this month’s ceremony. The Outstanding 8th Grader of The Month Program is sponsored by the Laredo Police Department, Family Nissan, KGNS-TV, Laredo Medical Center, Diocese of Laredo.
