Clown Bolitas Challenges Centeno Students to Read more Books

(Laredo, Texas)_Centeno Elementary School launched their 2015-2016 Accelerated Reader (AR), program with a visit from Clown Bolitas. The well-known children’s entertainer used games to motivate students to meet their reading challenges.The AR program is a computerized program for reading comprehension. Students select books on their reading level, read independently, and take an independent comprehension test on the computer.
Each book is worth a certain number of points based on its length and reading level. Centeno Librarian Analene Johnson coordinated the event.
