W.C.S.O. Deputies seize thousands of dollars concealed in SUV

Laredo, TX (Webb County) — The Webb County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday seized more than $25,000 hidden inside a vehicle.
A deputy patrolling IH-35 South near mile marker 20 spotted a silver SUV BMW stranded on the side of the road. That’s when the deputy pulled over to assist the driver and passenger. During his attempt to help, he noticed they were acting nervous and ran a check on the SUV. A Border Patrol canine was also called in to assist and alerted authorities to the center area inside the vehicle.
A thorough search of the SUV revealed $25,920 tightly packaged and concealed near the shift gears.
