Laredo, TX – The Laredo Lemurs’ (21-17) starting pitcher Greg Holle (3-4) dominated the Joplin Blasters’ (22-13) hitters Tuesday night at Uni-Trade Stadium as they rolled to a 4-1 victory.

Holle held the Blasters scoreless through seven innings and he retired the side in order three times.  Holle also walked only one batter, he has now walked only seven batters through 54.2 innings of work over nine starts for the Lemurs.  Holle’s final line saw him work in seven and a third innings while giving up one unearned run on four hits with one walk and a strikeout.

The Lemurs offense came via the home run when newcomer Dustin Gieger hit his first homer in a Lemurs uniform to make it 1-0.  D’Vontrey Richardson hit a solo home run in the bottom of the third for the Lemurs for his third of the year to make it 2-0 Laredo.  The Lemurs would add two more runs in the seventh to top off their four runs in the game.

The losing pitcher for the Blasters was their starter Nestor Molina (3-2).  Molina went seven giving up four runs on eight hits with two walks and five punch outs.

Lemurs have split the four game series with the Blasters so far and currently sit 2.5 games behind the Blasters in the South Division.
