Three More United High School Students Sign Scholarships

(Laredo, Texas)-On May 27, 2015 United High School (UHS),hosted a triple scholarship press conference for three graduating seniors who signed letters of intent to play college level sports. Dulce Garcia, Rodrigo Zuniga,and Eileen Gallegos,accompanied by their parents, signed their full ride scholarships in front of an audience that included fellow students, athletes UHS coaches and campus staff.
Dulce Garcia, daughter of Juan and Elizabeth Garcia, signed to play softball for Laredo Community College (LCC). Garcia has been an All-District player at UHS for the past four years. She plans to pursue a career in sports medicine.
Rodrigo Zuniga, son of Miguel and Elsa Zuniga,signed a soccer scholarship for Texas A&M International University (TAMIU). Zuniga is a four year letterman, four year starter, and was the senior year captain for the UHS soccer team. He is interested in entering the field of law enforcement.
Eileen Gallegos, daughter of Frank and Mary Gallegos, signed a scholarship to play tennis for Laredo Community College (LCC). Gallegos played in mixed doubles for two years in a row and was the senior year captain for the UHS tennis team. She plans to study business administration.
