Mother involved in shooting arrested by W.C.S.O.

Laredo, TX (Webb County) – Webb County Sheriff’s Deputies arrest a mother who shot at another vehicle while driving with her children, the youngest twin two-year-old boys.
The call came in shortly before 7 p.m. Thursday of a shooting in the 500 block of Hernandez in El Cenizo. The 17-year-old victim who was driving an SUV told Sheriff dispatchers he was being chased and shot at by a known person, Blanca Idalia Martinez, 34. The suspect shot at the SUV’s back window, inside that vehicle were a pregnant girl and another juvenile.
Shortly after, deputies were able to spot the tan in color Tahoe driven by Martinez at the intersection of Highway 83 south and Cielito Lindo. When authorities pulled her over they noticed she had four of her children inside of the vehicle, their ages ranging from two to 15. A 22 caliber handgun was recovered from the vehicle.
The reported motive is an alleged feud between the suspect’s daughter and pregnant passenger in the victim’s vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
Martinez was arrested and charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapone, Felony 2, three counts of Endangering a Child, and one count of Deadly Conduct. She remains at the Webb County Jail on a $130,000 bond.
