(Laredo, Texas)-Read Across America is the National Education Association’s signature literacy program that was created 18 years ago. It was made possible through collaborative efforts of the Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Random House Children’s publishing.
The Students of Centeno Elementary rallied at their School library to kick-off the celebration. They received a surprise visit from the beloved Dr. Seuss character, Cat in the Hat and Character’s Reader Bear (Laredo Public Library), Pete the Cat and Junie B. Jones. They sat and read along to Dr. Suess Puppet story telling show and danced and sang with all the great characters.
