TAMIU Planetarium Presents First ‘Romance Under the Stars’ Valentine’s Celebration

(Laredo, Tx)-This Valentine’s Day, treat your special someone to the first-ever planetarium show in Laredo with a romantic theme, complete with wine, appetizers and a “Best of Led Zeppelin” 3-D light presentation.
“Romance Under the Stars,” is scheduled Friday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. at Texas A&M International University’s Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium. Limited seating is available.
It is open to the public and is $12 per person or $20 per couple. Those attending must be 21 or older and have a valid ID.
Taking place one day before Valentine’s Day, the event will feature a
Planetarium presentation about the romantic love stories in Greek mythology and the constellations associated with mythical characters. Romantic music under the stars will follow.
Peter Davis, Planetarium director, said this is the first year the Planetarium is presenting “Romance Under the Stars.”
“We wanted to present a one of a kind event where singles and couples alike can mingle and enjoy a Valentine’s celebration that’s fun, informative and entertaining,” Davis said, “Besides a romantic theme, we are presenting a popular
3-D video show featuring the ‘Best of Led Zeppelin’ for rock fans.”
