Laredo, TX (Webb County) – Webb County Sheriff Deputies arrested a local man on several charges, including Abandoning a Child and Evading Arrest.
Deputies executed an arrest warrant for Adrian Hinojosa, 23, on Friday afternoon. When deputies arrived and searched the home located on the 4200 block of Morelia Drive, they found Hinojosa hiding inside a closet in the rear bedroom.
An arrest for Hinojosa was pending as a result from an October 2014 case, where he fled on foot when he saw deputies entering the ranch where he was living. The suspect fled from deputies due to a protective order issued after he assaulted his wife. When Hinojosa fled, he left behind two children younger than 5 years of age.
Hinojosa was charged with 2 Counts of Abandoning/Endangering a Child without Intent to Return, Violation of a Protective Order and Evading Arrest detention on Foot. He remains on a $100,000 bond at the Webb County Jail.
