AEP Texas Private Contractor to Close Part of Santa Maria for Repair

(Laredo, Tx)-Weather permitting, Montemayor Construction, a private contractor for AEP Texas, will close the south-bound lane of Santa Maria Avenue between Del Mar and Industrial Boulevard in order to repair a concrete bell hole due to a gas leak, starting on Friday, January 16, 2015. It will take approximately two days to complete repairs. Montemayor Construction will repair three sections of street cuts and a small section of sidewalk along the street. Traffic heading south-bound will be driving thru the center turning lane heading south. Traffic heading north-bound will use regular lane.
Motorists and pedestrians are cautioned to avoid the construction area completely and to take alternate routes, or to use extreme caution when traveling through the area. Customers are urged to adhere to all posted traffic control signs and devices in order to provide safety to all citizens and minimize traffic congestion in the affected area.
