UISD Bands To Advance To Area Competition

(Laredo, Tx)-Three United ISD High Schools won a Superior Rating at the Music Region XIV UIL Marching Contest that was held on Saturday at the Student Activity Complex. The campuses that received a 1st Division or Superior Rating were: United South, Alexander, and United High Schools. The Lyndon B. Johnson High School band won a 2nd Division Rating or Excellent Rating. Pictured with their 1st Division awards are UISD bands directors: Francisco J. Sosa, USHS; Jose Valenzuela, AHS; and John J. Mallon, UHS. These schools will advance to the Area G Marching Contest on October 25 that will be held in San Antonio. Gooooooooooooooooooooo United ISD!!!
