TAMIU Presents 2014 Government & Social Services Career Fair

(Laredo, Tx)-Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Office of Career Services will present its 2014 Government and Social Services Career Fair tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 16 from 1-4 p.m. in the Student Center Rotunda for job seekers in government and social services sectors.
The Fair is free and open to the public.
Local, state and national employers from government and social services industries will be present at the Fair to promote employment and internship opportunities for TAMIU students, alumni and the community, said Celina Maniac, director of Employer Relations at the TAMIU Office of Career Services.
“We are expecting over 15 employers at the Fair,” Maniece said, “Participants should bring a copy of their resume and dress in business professional attire.”
Among employers participating are Net2source Inc., Transmaritime Inc., U.S. Army Laredo Recruiting Center, Laredo Chamber of Commerce, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Internal Revenue Service-Criminal Investigation, Webb County Sheriff’s Office, Dallas Police Department, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Border Region Behavioral Health, Texas Department of Public Safety, SCAN Inc., Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and Doctors Hospital of Laredo.
Those interested in applying for government jobs should upload their profiles on www.usajobs.gov to ensure timely job application, Maniece said.
Maniece said registration is still available for employers interested in participating.
