TAMIU Soccer Players Visit United Middle School

(Laredo, Tx)-Members of the TAMIU Dustdevil Soccer team recently paid a visit to United middle school. The envoy, comprised of six players, treated a group of 7th grade students
to mini soccer clinics.
The students also received complimentary game tickets and signed Dustdevil posters. Michael Blake, Director of Athletic Development at TAMIU said that reaching out to local youth is an opportunity to introduce students to good role models.
“I think it’s important to give students a glimpse of TAMIU. Our athletes are great on the field and they’re also excellent students”, said Blake. The Dustdevil soccer team were named 2013 Conference Champions.
