(Laredo, Tx)-The LEA is proud to announce the return of Foreigner to the Laredo Energy Arena tonight Wednesday, August 27, 2014.
Foreigner is one of the most recognized bands of the 80’s rock scene and are considered one of the bestselling touring bands in the nation. With singles such as “Jukebox Hero”, “Feels like the First Time”, and “Waiting For A Girl Like You” it’s no wonder that these legends have stayed popular for over 30 years. During their 2012 concert event in Laredo, they collaborated with the United High School choir for a special performance of “I Want to Know What Love Is”, and made a generous contribution to the school.
The upcoming concert will prove to be extraordinary as Foreigner will again raise money with some help from the United ISD Choir, featuring members from Alexander and United High School, who will receive a $500.00 grant. The choir will perform background vocals onstage with the band during the performance of “I Want To Know What Love Is”. The choir will also assist in fundraising by selling copies of Foreigner’s live greatest hits cd, and that money will be donated to the GRAMMY Foundation initiaive for music education in schools across the country. The public is invited to come out and enjoy a great rock show and support music education!
