LEMURS GO BIG AGAIN IN 14-1 WIN

Grand Prairie, TX – For the second game in a row the Laredo Lemurs put up 14 runs against the Grand Prairie AirHogs in a 14-1 win on Saturday night at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.

The Lemurs started off the scoring attack early in the game with a Travis Denker, two run home run.  Denker went on to have three hits, with two runs, and four RBI’s.

More scoring came in the second frame with two outs Angel Flores belted a solo home run to make it 3-0 Lemurs.  Josh Scheffert would follow-up the Flores jack with one of his own for the first back-to-back home run game for the Lemurs in 2014.

The Lemurs would score more runs throughout the night with the big explosion coming in the seventh, when they plated five runs, on five hits against relief pitcher Brett Hunter.

Also for the second straight night the Lemurs would get strong pitching from their starter.  Sean Tracey threw seven complete, giving up only one run, one five hits, with no walks, and three strikeouts.  Tracey moves to 2-0 on the season in his first two starts.

Over the last two nights the Lemurs have scored 28 runs, on 37 hits.
