To get students excited about reading, Salvador Garcia Middle School Librarian Loida Korrody asked students to think of a theme for the Fall and Spring bookfair. The students picked a “fiesta” theme and brought in traditional Mexican zarapes and decorated the library in festive colors. While the students were browsing and shopping for books in the library, they enjoyed a baile folklórico performance by retired teacher Guadalupe Garcia.
