Alexander High School student Alexa M. Ramirez will advance to UIL State Competition for her work in Theatrical Design. Her designs are based “Tartuffe,” a theatrical comedy by Molière. The goals of the UIL Theatrical Design Contest are: to foster appreciation of good theatrical design, to increase the number of schools which have adapted technical theatre as an academic subject in school curricula, and to satisfy the competitive, artistic spirit with friendly competition among schools.
With her award winning designs in the background, Ramirez is pictured with her teacher and sponsor Carol S. Rosales. Ramirez will compete in May at the University of Texas at Austin against other students from across the state.
