United Middle School Maverick Cheerleaders named American Cheer Power National Champions

(Laredo, Tx)-While every squad approaches competition from a slightly different angle, it is certain that determination and perseverance play an extreme role in preparing. The Maverick Cheerleaders under the direction of Leonila Gonzalez demonstrated that and more at this years Cheer and Power National competition.
The United Middle School Cheerleaders were just named the American Cheer Power National Champions on February 7-8 in San Antonio, Texas. The 20 cheer athletes brought home 1st Place in the Intermediate Junior High Division. The American Cheer Power is in its 27th year of business, founded and led by Regina Symons whose philosophy revolves around the athletes.
