UISD Celebrates Youths of the Month for 2013

(Laredo, Tx)-Four U.I.S.D. students were among those celebrated as “Youths of the Month” for December 2013. This month’s ceremony was hosted by St. Augustine High School. The monthly programs recognizes local high school students who excel in academics and participate in extracurricular and community service activities.
Teachers and counselors nominate students for the honor. Recognitions are sponsored in part by the U.S. Border Patrol, The Senate of Texas, United States Congress, I.B.C., Royal Laser Wash, McDonald’s, AHEC, The Rock Fitness Center, Laredo Energy Arena, Awardmasterz.com, Dr. Sara E. Campos, M.D. and the City of Laredo Public Access Channel.
