(Laredo, Tx)– At last night’s City Council meeting, several Laredoans were recognized for the contributions and accomplishments by City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas and the Laredo City Council.
Rafael Gonzalez and Elena Gonzalez of MG Builders were on hand to present a plaque to the Laredo Police Department Officer Jose L. Reyes, Jr., for naming a street after him in their NuVision Subdivision, Phase 4. Officer Reyes was accompanied by his wife for the honor.
Young Ryan Soriano gave a presentation, hoping to raise awareness of the depleting number of the Bobwhite Quail.
The girls’ Pony League Softball Team was recognized for winning 3rd place at the 2013 Pony 8& Slow-Pitch Softball World Series in White Settlement, Texas.
The KuGar Fight Team was recognized for competing and winning at the USA Taakwondo National Championship.
