Williamson’s Contract Sold to Reds

Kansas City, KS – Laredo Lemurs left handed starter Fabian Williamson has been acquired by the Cincinnati Reds and will head to their High-A affiliate in Bakersfield, California.
With the Lemurs, Williamson posted a 6-2 record and a 3.42 ERA in 12 starts and 18 total appearances. In that time he threw 73.2 innings, giving up 41 runs, 28 earned runs, 67 hits, with 33 walks, and 75 Strikeouts, with a .235 against average.
Williamson earned Pitcher of the Week honors in the American Association for the week ending on July 8th. That week he pitched in two games, throwing 16 innings, giving up only two runs, on eight hits, with two walks, 20 strikeouts, as he went on to win both games.
The Laredo Lemurs have had five players picked up by affiliated teams over the last year. After the 2012 season the Arizona Diamondbacks acquired Lemurs left handed starter Matt Way and right handed relief pitcher Chaz Roe. Earlier this season the Diamondbacks picked up Lemurs right handed pitcher Mark Serrano and outfielder Sawyer Carroll.
