Courtesy Joe Baeza,

(Laredo, Tx)-On July 24,  Laredo Police were dispatched to a pharmacy located on 3507 Jaime Zapata.   The responding Patrol officer knowing that recent pharmacy break ins had occurred from the back part of the business, approached the location from the rear. Nearing the back he noticed a black Toyota with one male subject leaving the area. The Officer detained and investigated the situation which led to the arrest of Alexander Villarreal.

Alexander Ivan VillarrealVillaral had committed a burglary on that same Shopping Center and Attempted to burglarize the Medicine Shoppe. During the course of the investigation, officers discovered property from several other pharmacies that had been previously burglarized. In addition he had various criminal instruments and even had various printed google maps of several pharmacy locations throughout town.

The lakeside pharmacy was one business that had been successfully burglarized twice this month and earlier this week a third burglary attempt was made but was unsuccessful. Villarreal is now a person of interest in that lakeside break in but for now was arrested only for this break in.  He was charged with burglary of a building, use of criminal instrument and stealing blank checks.
