U.H.S. SENIOR SIGNS BASKETBALL SCHOLARSHIP

(LAREDO, TX)-United Independent School District congratulates Rodolfo “Rudy” Gonzalez as he enters the next phase of his athletic and academic journey. Gonzalez, joined by his parents and younger brother, signed a basketball scholarship on June 24th to play at TAMIU.
This outstanding young senior has participated in basketball since his freshman year at United High School and has excelled in the Engineering Magnet Program. Principal Alberto Aleman best described Gonzalez as an excellent student and athlete who is destined for success at the next level.
“His departure from United High School will leave big shoes to fill, but TAMIU can rest assured that they have gained a great player in Rudy”, said Aleman. Gonzalez’ future plans include the attainment of a degree in civil or petroleum engineering.
