Clark Middle School Art Students Bring Awareness of the Earth With Contest!

(Laredo, Tx)- Clark Middle School won first place in the Middle School Division of the Rio Grande International Study Center’s first-ever “Earth Day Bulletin Board” Art Contest.  Their theme was: “The Impact of Plastic Bags.” Pictured from left to right, bottom row is:  Natalie Cardona, Roland Patricio, CMS Art Teacher Nancy Poinsot, Querenha Romero, and Leah Gutierrez. 

clarkTop row, from left to right is:  CMS Principal Rene Rodriguez, Contest Judge and Local Artist David Hunt, Maria Gonzalez, Tiani Rodriguez, Christian Garcia, Skylah Lozano, Jessica Arriaga, Mark Duffield, Contest Judge and Webb County Economic Development Department Staff Member Melissa Ortega, and Home Depot Assistant Manager Robert Escamilla.  The group was presented with an award from RGISC Director Tricia Cortez, and Home Depot donated a tree to the campus which they planted in their school garden.
