(Laredo, Tx)-City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas and Mayor Pro Tempore Juan Narvaez welcomed representatives Patricia Montemayor and Rose Flores from the Society of Renaissance Women, to help promote their upcoming Zumbathon fundraiser.
The Society of Renaissance Women is a relatively new local organization dedicated to help turn young Laredo women into be true ladies by giving them the opportunity to learn etiquette, to learn about being dedicated and committed to something and to learn to give back by participating in community service. The organization, in its second year, aims to make themselves available for mentoring
The Zumbathon fundraiser, to be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013, at the Life Downs Pavilion, will feature professional Zumba instructors Roxie Correa, Juan Perez and Reyna Rodriguez. Registration will be from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m., with the event scheduled to start promptly at 9 AM. Event tickets are only $10.
