Martin High School’s Soccer Standout to Participate in All-Star Game

(Laredo, Tx)-Martin High School senior Gerardo Gaytan has been selected to participate in the 2013 Senior Showcase High School Soccer All-Star Game. Gaytan was one of 11 athletes chosen to represent the South Team at the All Star Game.
Gaytan will spend three days in Temple, Texas, participating in all of the events associated with the All Star Game. The actual game will be played on Saturday, June 22, in Temple, Texas at Wildcat Stadium at 12:00 p.m.
Gaytan was the leader of the Tigers team that made a historic playoff runwith victories in the Bi-District, Area Round, Sectional and Regional Quarterfinals of the state playoffs. Gaytan recently signed his letter of intent to attend Coastal Bend College in Beeville, Texas, to continue his education and soccer career.
Also, Junior Goal Keeper Aldair Gonzalez and Junior Midfielder Miguel Espinoza were named to the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches Region IV First Team. Junior Christian Arana was named to the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches Region IV Second Team.
