Last Rabies “Vacuna” Clinic for Summer 2012 until the Fall

Courtesy Xochitl Garcia,

Laredo, TX – The City of Laredo Health Department (CLHD) wants to remind the public that rabies continues to be a local threat and that everyone needs to vaccinate their pets as soon as possible, either at their veterinarian’s office or at the Health Department. We also remind the public to care for their pets and to assure they are also protected from the heat. Due to the increasing high temperatures, CLHD will be conducting their last Rabies “Vacuna” Clinic for the summer on July 21, 2012 at the
Civic Center.

The cost for pet rabies vaccination is $12.00.   Distemper/Parvo shots available upon request.

The Clinic will be set up at the Laredo Civic Center this Saturday July 21st.

Rabies Vaccination clinics will resume this fall.

The City of Laredo continues to respond to calls of bites from strays. Many of these are found to have not been vaccinated putting persons at risk for rabies. Owners must be conscious of how important it is for them to vaccinate and protect not only their pets and their families but also our community.
