SHELL STATION ROBBER ARRESTED

On Sunday November 2, 2008 at approximately 11:15 pm Laredo Police Communications Division received a 911 call from a clerk at the Shell convenience store located by Saunders/Bartlett in Laredo, Texas of robbery that had just occurred. The clerk advised police that an unknown Hispanic male subject , approximately 5’8 in height, about 180 lbs, light complexion, wearing a light blue shirt, dark jacket, blue jeans and sandals, came into the store wielding a kitchen knife and demanding the money from the cash register. After threatening the clerk the subject then left with approximately $ 70.00 in U.S. currency. CAPERS Detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. A check of the surrounding area was conducted, but the subject was nowhere to be found.
At approximately 1:41 am a vigilant patrol officer spotted a subject matching the description of said subject by a car wash located by 1300 Saunders. The subject matching the description was identified as Eric Gordon Doncaster (7/26/90). He was accompanied by 4 other subjects. During a search of subjects vehicle officers found a small amount of Marijuana. All 5 subjects were then transported to the Laredo Police Department for questioning.
A criminal complaint for Aggravated Robbery F/1 for defendant Eric Gordon Doncaster was filed. Contact was then made with Judge Oscar Martinez, who signed Arrest Warrant # 110308 for Aggravated Robbery F/1 on Eric Gordon Doncaster. At approximately 7:20 am Doncaster who was at the Webb County Jail under a Possession of Marijuana C/B charge, was served with the additional Aggravated Robbery F/1 warrant. He remained at the Webb County Jail under an additional $ 85,000.00 set by JP Oscar Martinez.
