OBEYING WARNING SIGNS AND
BARRICADES

***SEVERAL MOTORISTS ARRESTED FOR DISREGARDING BARRICADES***
On Saturday, August 23, 2008, Laredo Police Officers arrested a total of seven drivers in the area of 8100 Las Cruces Rd. for Disregarding/Driving around a barricade.

These arrests occurred during a 3 hour time span.
Drivers need to remember that six inches of fast-moving flood water is a true risk and can cause a loss of life -- not only their own, but also those of emergency personnel as well.

Barricades are still in place throughout the city as flood waters are still on several roadways.

With additional rains still in the forecast, the motoring community is urged to use caution when driving.
