LPD Narcotics Unit makes arrests in pot bust

            On 02/26/09, members of the Laredo Police Narcotics/Vice Unit with the assistance of LPD K-9 units arrested Ricardo Valadez Jr. D.O.B. 01-30-88, Carlos Castillo D.O.B. 03-26-73, Armando Diaz-Deleon D.O.B. 08-07-81, and Mario Rodriguez D.O.B. 02-02-82 for one count each of Possession of Marijuana 3rd Degree Felony and one count of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. One bundle of Marijuana was recovered and weighed in at a total of 16.5 lbs. All four subjects were processed, charged, and later transported to the Webb County Jail where they remained pending magistration. VALUE OF DRUGS: $ 6,946.50
