CITY DEPARTMENT CLOSURE NOTICE

City of Laredo administrative offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, Thursday December 25, and Friday, December 26, 2008 in observance of the Christmas holiday.  

    Protective and emergency services will be operational.  

Please be aware that there will be NO trash, recycling or lawn clippings collection service on Thursday.  There will be regularly scheduled garbage and recycling pick-up on Friday, December 26.  For residents whose normal trash and recycling collection day is Thursday, there will be a one-time only collection on Saturday, December 27, 2008, for those customers only.

The City Landfill will be open from, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24.  It will be closed on Thursday, December 25.  It will re-open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 26.  It will be opened regular hours on Saturday, December 27, 2008, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  

In observance of the Christmas holiday, the Laredo Public Library and Bruni Plaza Branch will be closed from Wednesday, December 24 – Sunday, December 28, 2008.  

City of Laredo administrative offices will re-open on Monday December 29, 2008, during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting is on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
